"Fats"Herbert, who drove his truck load of water-filled jerrycans into the assembly area, recalled getting out of his truck shortly before an 88 came in and scored a direct hit, thorwing shrapnel and punctured jerrycans over the area. "It looked like the whole battalion was taking a piss, "thought "Fats"as he looked out from a demolished school house on the snow-covered landscape now inundated with artillery bursts.
