Addie F. Sides

 
Addie F. Sides was the son of Thomas Franklin Sides and Ada Virginia Stough of Stanfield, North Carolina. He entered the US Army 16 February 1942 at Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina. At that time, he had completed grammar school, and worked at the Cannon Mills textile manufacturing plant. He left for overseas duty January 1944, and was killed in action 4 January 1945 while fighting with General Patton's Third Army.
